About a week ago…I was able to visit and meet a few distant relatives that I didn’t know existed a month ago. I spent the day visiting Tipperary (which isn’t as long away as the song makes it seem), my family’s church, my family’s cemetery, and farms owned by two of my dad’s distant cousins. Below on the left is Michael Quirke, he owns a horse farm, and on the right is Patsy Furlong. Patsy, our tour guide for the day, owns a beef cow farm with 92 cows and he runs it by himself. They are both people I’m glad I met, even if it was for a day, and they are people I hope to visit again in the future.
