Glendalough (The Valley of Two Lakes)

[image: Inline image 1] The upper lake at Glendalough was gorgeous even though it was a rainy day. I’m excited to draw this view as a part of my observations of the variety of landscapes in Ireland. – Katie A

Time of my life

During my time in Ireland, I can honestly say that I had the time of my life. Being able to see what is beyond the four walls of my dorm room has opened my eyes to what the world has in store. There are no true words that can describe my trip but if I need to I would definitely …

Cliffs of Moher

This picture at the Cliffs of Moher is a memory I will hold for a life time. I wish we had more time to explore around the cliffs because I really enjoyed taking pictures of them and reading up on the history of them. The water in the picture completes the scenery. If I have another opportunity to go back …

My Ireland Experience

I loved absolutely everything about Ireland! The people were so friendly and helpful, the weather was warm (and not snowy), the scenery was beautiful, and I truly felt a sense of belonging and happiness everywhere I went. Whether I was on one of the day trips, taking an afternoon walk through Dublin, or at a pub by night, I felt …

Trip comments

The trip to Ireland was amazing. The people are great, the land is beautiful, and there is always so much to do. The thing that I found most surprising was how huge of a part Guinness has on Irish culture. Guinness is everywhere in Ireland, in every bar, store, and they have ads everywhere. It doesn’t even seem like they …

Amazing trip

Overall my trip to Ireland was better than I expected. I learned so much about how a different country lives. There were definitely differences such as the way they dance and the things they eat. My project was to find various statues all over Dublin and describe who they were. I saw a lot of leaders and writers statues while …

Wicklow Mountains

It may not look like it from this picture, but it was a very windy and rainy standing there. The mist literally rolls along these mountains, which only makes them seem very . . . mysterious. As if they had a life of their own. It’s no wonder that stories of faeries and creatures from different worlds were part of …

Trip Comments

[image.jpeg] The one thing that I appreciated in Ireland was how friendly and almost carefree the native people were. They didn’t hesitate to poke fun at you, crack a joke or help you find your way. Pertaining to my project about Irish culture I found it most shocking that most of the music they listen to is American. Ireland is …

St. Patricks Church

St. Patricks stain glass windows were breath taking. Couldn’t believe how old some of the buildings were and well preserved they were too. The Trip to Ireland was eye opening and I will truly miss Ireland and Can’t wait to return one day!
